The Orcas Island Health Care District will be holding a Special Board Meeting on Saturday, January 17th, 2026 from 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Benson Hall Building - 218-242 Main St, Eastsound, WA 98245.

The purpose of this special board meeting is for a public hospital district Board and staff retreat. Because of the nature of the meeting, the meeting will only be held in-person at the mentioned location.

Although this board meeting is focused primarily on the board retreat, some board busines will be conducted at the beginning of the meeting, including the following:

1. Resolution to authorize Social Security coverage in addition to retirement plan participation

2. Authorization for District Superintendent to engage in negotiations with a selected Architecture & Engineering firm, following an RFP process.
